Jackson Hole: It's not just a place, it's a lifestyle...

At the gateway to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, Jackson Hole is a vibrant community surrounded by some of the most dramatic scenery in the world. Our rustic yet refined lifestyle is defined not only by the stunning natural environment we live in, but also by a strong sense of community. We strive diligently to maintain our unique Western character through thoughtful planning, careful land use and extensive charitable giving.

More than 97 percent of Teton County is permanently protected from development in national parks, forest and public lands, and much of the private acreage is also protected in conservation programs through organization such as the Jackson Hole Land Trust. These efforts ensure that the stunning scenic corridors, open space and wildlife migration patterns will remain protected for generations to come.

Jackson Hole derives its magnetism not only from the area's vast, beautiful lands and native wildlife, but also from its limitless outdoor recreation opportunities. Skiing, hiking, camping, fishing and more are just out our back door. The region comes complete with three local ski resorts, a plethora of 18-hole golf courses, diverse trout fishing waters, and large pockets of public lands for various use.

In more recent years, Jackson Hole has become increasingly known for its happening nightlife, cultural activities and metropolitan amenities. Now, after a day of skiing or a hike in the mountains, you can grab a burger at the Brew Pub or a filet mignon at the Snake River Grill. Or you can unwind with a calming treatment at one of the many luxurious spas. Some may find two-steppin' at the Cowboy Bar or gettin' down with a reggae band at the Mangy Moose the best way to spend the evenings. And, the Grand Teton Music Festival at Teton Village features a summer full of symphonies, lectures and children's events.

One of town's most recent additions is the Center for the Arts. The pavilion offers plenty of space for art classes, non-profit organizations, art exhibits and studios. The complex also includes a state-of-the-art theater for hosting shows such as Willie Nelson, Keb' Mo, The Neville Brothers and Jackson's local Hootenanny. Locals and visitors, alike find delight in this cultural hot spot.

Flying to Jackson Hole has become much easier and much more affordable. These days, daily jet service from major cities is provided by Delta, Northwest, American, United and Frontier. In fact, since the expansion of the runway in 2002, planes as big as Air Force II have been able to fly into this resort community. Every day, more and more visitors discover Jackson Hole's allure.

In addition to attracting more visitors, Jackson Hole is attracting more new residents. People are migrating to this community because of our serene Rocky Mountain location and the daily commercial airline services, and also because Wyoming has been rated the most tax-friendly state in the nation. But, being a resident of the Cowboy State offers ore than just monetary advantages. Wyoming also has one of the lowest unemployment rates, is rich in agriculture and natural resources, and is one of the least populated states making the crime rate extremely low. These attributes have helped shape our community and our growing real estate values.

Because only 3 percent of the county's land can be privately owned and interest in owning property in Jackson Hole has heightened, real estate has become scarcer while the demand has become greater. No one can predict the future, but it seems almost certain that Jackson Hole will continue to retain the character that has attracted settlers since the early 1900s. Come visit with one of our local experts and let us introduce you to the Jackson Hole lifestyle.
